Marketing Intern
*This is an in-office, eight-week summer internship in Overland Park, KS from June 2 through July 25, 2025, and is for incoming college juniors or seniors. The pay is $18 an hour. Ad Astra does not provide relocation/ housing services.

About You:
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. This role will include various administrative duties combined with marketing-focused activities like developing and implementing marketing assets and strategies, as well as brainstorming campaign ideas. The ideal candidate demonstrates high attention to detail, excellent time and task management skills, and is highly organized.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with the marketing team to research, develop, and measure various client nurture, product development, and awareness campaigns
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
- Work with the team to collect and analyze data from marketing activities
- Collaborate with the Customer Advocacy Marketing Manager to create online community content, perform social listening within the community, and measure member engagement
- Assist with the creation and deployment of the monthly Client Newsletter
- Work with the Director of Marketing to update landing pages and work on digital marketing assets
- Assist in developing, deploying, and measuring marketing promotional activities (e.g., social media and paid ads)
- Support conference/event marketing tasks related to ASPIRE, Ad Astra’s annual conference

Requirements & Skills:
- Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week (in person)
- Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams and to organize time accordingly
- Excellent attention to detail; handles constructive feedback; ability to meet deadlines; willingness to continually improve competencies
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Solid understanding of marketing techniques and campaign creation
- Experience with marketing collateral development including social media content creation and management
- Experience creating and editing digital content, with an emphasis on videos
Other Skills (preferred but not required):
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing software (HubSpot, Salesforce.com, Google AdWords)
- Experience with design software (Adobe Design Suite, Canva, and Other Video Production Software)
- Copywriting and editing experience
